The first performance tests for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti & RTX 4060 GPU have been leaked, which belong to the mid-range Nvidia RTX 40 catalog, and will be the green company’s next series of the graphics card. Check out the performance test of the graphics card below.
According to the leaker QbitLeaks, the first thing we see is that both RTX 4060 Ti & RTX 4060 graphics cards have a higher power consumption rate, as was expected. You can count on an electrical consumption of 230-240W for the RTX 4060 model, while the power consumption of the RTX 4060 Ti is 270-280W. Before moving forward to the performance results, let us take a look at the specifications of these graphics cards.
According to rumors, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 will receive an AD106-300 GPU, which would have a number of cores of 3968 FP32 units. The memory capacity would be 8 GB GDDR6 across a 128-bit bus interface. The memory speed would be 17 Gbps. The memory capacity would be less than that of the RTX 3060. The power consumption varies between 270-280W. The clock speeds will exceed 2700 MHz.
As for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, it is going to use a different GPU: AD104-180-A1. The number of CUDA codes in this model would be 6144 units. The memory capacity would be 10 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which will work at a speed of 17.5 Gbps. The TGP listed above was 275W. For this model, this is an upgrade with as many cores as the RTX 3070 Ti and 2GB more memory. The power consumption will vary between 230-240W.
Now, the most interesting part is that the GPU clock speed will exceed 2600 MHz, according to specs shared by QbitLeaks in the tweet below.
It is to be noted that the performance results that are shared by the leaker are from 3DMark Time Extreme. The 4060 Ti model scores 8600 points, which beats the current RTX 3080 10 GB graphics card quite easily. On the other hand, the RTX 4060 exceeds 6,000 points in this test.
The only bad news about these mid-range graphics cards is that Nvidia is likely to release them as early as 2023, so they would not be part of the RTX 40 series debut in the coming months.
