MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X Specs & Price ($4500) Leaked, 1000W PSU Recommended

In the course of CES 2022, NVIDIA announced the new RTX 3090 Ti, the latest top-of-the-line GPU from the Santa Clara manufacturer. Alongside NVIDIA, numerous third-party manufacturers are making their own variants of the graphics card: among them is MSI, which will release the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X in the coming weeks. In this article, you will find out the full technical specs and price of the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X graphics card.

According to the latest leaks, MSI will launch its MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X graphics card at the end of January, probably on the 27th of this month. Until now, however, MSI’s variant of the NVIDIA GPU had never been at the center of leaks and rumors. Recently, however, the entire technical specs of the RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM have been leaked online, about 10 days before the rumored launch of the component.

As it was confirmed in the image above, MSI’s RTX 3090 Ti will be the most powerful and power-consuming GPU on the market, as well as, of course, incredibly expensive. The prices of the RTX 3090 Ti will not be low as we have known for a long time, but in this case, NVIDIA and MSI have outdone each other, with a list value of up to $4,500 in the MSI SUPRIM X variant.

The leaker “wxnod” posted on Twitter an image containing all the technical specifications of MSI’s RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM, which will have 10,752 CUDA Cores, in all its variants: in comparison, the RTX 3090 has 10,496 CUDA Cores. Also on all variants of the RTX 3090, we will find the latest generation Ray-Tracing Cores and Tensor Cores, while even the SM (streaming multi-processor) units themselves should be completely new.

In terms of memory, all RTX 3090 Ti will have 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM, with speeds of up to 21Gbps. This means that, together with a 384-bit bus like the one that will be mounted on the GPU, the overall bandwidth will reach 1008 Gbps.

MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X also offers “Extreme Mode” with clock frequency up to 1900 MHz, while the standard frequency of the graphics card will be around 1880 MHz: in comparison, the reference model of the component has a standard frequency of 1560 MHz and a boost of up to 1860 MHz.

This, therefore, means that even the TDP generated by MSI’s GPU is much greater than the NVIDIA reference card: if the latter develops a TDP of 450W, in fact, MSI’s GPU reaches 480W. For this same reason, MSI will probably recommend a PSU of at least 1000W in combination with the card, while for NVIDIA’s “base” GPUs the recommended PSU is at least 850W.
