As Capcom confirmed in these recent hours, the release of the multiplayer spin-off Resident Evil Re:Verse will be delayed again, and we shouldn’t expect the PvP shooter to be released before 2022.
Infact, Resident Evil Re:Verse was to be released together with Resident Evil Village at the beginning of May this year. However, after the beta was anything but smooth and the corresponding feedback from the community came, the developers postponed Resident Evil Re:Verse to summer 2021.
“The previously announced July 2021 launch of Resident Evil Re:Verse is being moved to 2022 so that the team can continue working to deliver a smooth gameplay experience. We will share updated launch details at a later time. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” said Capcom on its official Twitter account.
Resident Evil Re:Verse is a multiplayer spin-off in the PvP shooter format. Players will have the opportunity to slip into the roles of well-known characters from the Resident Evil franchise and will be involved in heated firefights in familiar locations from the series.
Should you get a lot of hits from other players, your body will be transformed into a powerful bioweapon that you can control. The more virus containers you have collected as a human, the more powerful your bioweapon becomes. As a bioweapon, you can take revenge on the other players and earn additional points.
