Sony announced on Twitter that PS Now will be expanded to include 1080p streaming of compatible games over the next few weeks. The corresponding update of the service will be rolled out over several weeks, covering Europe, the USA, Canada, and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available.
The tweet said the following in a nutshell: “PlayStation Now will begin rolling out support for streaming 1080p capable games this week. The rollout will occur over the next several weeks across Europe, US, Canada, and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available.”
It is indeed positive news for subscribers. Because 1080p streaming is something that fans have longed for. In the coming weeks, the first tests should follow, which will take a closer look at the high-resolution experience.
PlayStation Now is expanded with new games every month. In April Marvel’s Avengers, Borderlands 3, and The Long Dark were added.
According to Sony, there are hundreds of PS4, PS3, and PS2 games waiting for you to stream on-demand. PS Now membership costs between $10 and $60, depending on the duration.
