Guilty Gear: Strive Open Beta Available for PS4 & PS5

The fighting game Guilty Gear: Strive has entered the open beta on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. However, the servers are currently still struggling with problems. Arc System Works is already working hard to find out a solution.

After pre-ordering the digital version of the upcoming fighting game Guilty Gear: Strive, players were allowed to play the beta yesterday, all players on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 can get started today. However, there is one crucial problem: the servers have already failed.

As the responsible developers from Arc System Works reported via Twitter, emergency maintenance is currently being carried out. It says: “Due to a server issue currently under investigation, the game can still not be played. We are currently performing a final check in a test environment. We ask for your patience for a while longer. We’re truly sorry.”

So you hope that you can get the servers running again in the next few hours. Originally, the open beta started at 4 a.m. Central European Time. It is not yet known whether the test phase will be extended by the number of hours lost. For updates, please visit the Arc System Works official Twitter channel.

In the beta of Guilty Gear: Strive, 13 of the 16 characters will be available. You can also try your hand at training mode, versus mode and, above all, online mode.

The test phase should therefore already give a good insight into the fighting game, which will be available from April 9, 2021, for the PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 4, and the PC (via Steam). If you buy the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition for the consoles, you can get started on April 6, 2021.
