Final Fantasy IX Remake Reportedly “Is Real”

For several days now, rumors have been chasing about a remake of Final Fantasy IX, one of the most beautiful (but underrated) chapters of the Square saga of all time. After the success achieved by the remake of Final Fantasy 7, the publisher would therefore have in mind to bring the ninth chapter back to life, which would have been in the works for some time. Final Fantasy IX Remake “Is Real”, According to Sources

A new confirmation has arrived about the existence of the official remake of Final Fantasy IX. After all, for years fans have been clamoring for a remake of the ninth chapter of Final Fantasy, a wish that could perhaps materialize shortly.

The well-known journalist Jeff Grubb, therefore a completely reliable source, claims to have taken note that a remake of Final Fantasy IX produced by Square Enix is currently in development.

“Most of the Square Enix games [from the Nvidia leak in early 2023] have been confirmed or even came out by now except for Final Fantasy IX Remake and Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster,” Grubb confirmed on his Game Mess Mornings podcast. “I will say I heard very recently once again Final Fantasy IX Remake is real. That is real and happening.”

The journalist is therefore certain that the game exists, receiving confirmation that the remake of Final Fantasy IX, sooner or later, will be playable for real.

At the moment, however, there are no other details on the matter (unlikely for the game to appear tonight, on the occasion of the Summer Game Fest), so we just have to wait for good news directly from Square Enix, stay tuned on our website TechNClub.com for news on the game.

In other news, it was confirmed that an animated series based on the ninth final fantasy is in development by the French Cyber Group Studios, in collaboration with Square Enix.
