The rumors that the fun racer Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled developed by Beenox could find its way onto the new consoles of PS5 in a technically and content-widened version are not new.

A snapshot that was circulated by a Reddit user provides fresh speculation during these hours. As can be seen from this, a PlayStation 5 version of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is now also appearing on the PS5’s home screen. Thus, an official announcement of the next-gen version by Beenox or Activision Blizzard should only be a matter of time.

In the past few weeks, the rumor has been spreading that owners of the game should not expect a free upgrade for the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X/S. Instead, unconfirmed reports said that the title would be equipped with all-round improved technology on the new generation of consoles.

In addition to a display in the native 4K resolution and in 60FPS, an optional 120FPS mode should also be supported. Furthermore, fresh content such as ten exclusive series should also be part of the party. A new character in the form of Willy Wumpa Cheeks could also be offered.

So far, neither Activision Blizzard nor the developers at Beenox have wanted to comment on a possible next-gen version of the game.
